In Bihar, votes are being cast in 78 seats in the third and last phase today. There are 1,204 candidates in the third phase. There are 1,094 men. There are 910 women. There are 2.35 crore voters in these 78 seats, of which 1.23 crore are male, 1.12 crore are female and 894 are transgender voters. In the same phase, votes are being cast in the seat of Subhashini Yadav, daughter of JDU president Sharad Yadav and Neeraj Singh, cousin of Sushant Singh Rajput. Subhashini Yadav is contesting from the Bihariganj seat on a Congress ticket. Neeraj Kumar Singh is the BJP candidate for the Umburpur seat.
As of 9 am, 7.69% voting has been done. Voting time has been extended by one hour due to Corona. However, voting on 74 seats will take place from 7 am to 6 pm. Votes will be cast on the remaining 4 from 7 am to 4 am. In the first phase, voting was 55.68% and in the second phase 55.70%.

- EVM went bad at booths 126 and 128 at Supaul. At the same time, EVM malfunction was also reported at Sitamarhi number 271 booth. Voting could not start till 9 am due to EVM malfunction at booth number 63A of Aurai assembly.
- Sharad Yadav’s daughter and Congress candidate from Bihariganj, Subhashini Yadav cast their vote in Madhepura. Pushpam Priya Chaudhary, Chief of the Poor’s Party, contesting from Bankipur and Bisfi, cast a vote in Darbhanga.
- A polling worker named Sadanand Rai died at booth number 246 of Nirmali Assembly in Supaul district. Polling officer Kedar Rai died of heart attack at booth-190 of Aurai Assembly in Muzaffarpur. Kedar was in the irrigation department. DM has announced a compensation of Rs 15,00,000.

- The highest number of 31 candidates are in Gaighat seat. The least 9 candidates are in Dhaka, Triveniganj, Jokihat and Bahadurganj.
- RJD is contesting on 44 seats and LJP on 35 seats. BJP and JDU 29-29, Congress has fielded 21 seats.
- 33 thousand 782 polling stations have been built. 45 thousand 953 ballot units and 33 thousand 782 VVPATs will be used.
- Saharsa is the largest assembly constituency for voters. There are 3.70 lakh voters out of which 1.92 lakh are male, 1.77 lakh are female and 2 are transgender voters.
- Hayaghat is the smallest assembly constituency for voters. There are 2.41 lakh voters out of which 1.27 lakh are male, 1.14 lakh female and 4 are transgender voters.
