In the new government of the National Democratic Alliance (NDA) in Bihar, there are speculations about cabinet expansion. However, there is still an atmosphere of uncertainty in this regard. At present, the matter of cabinet expansion has cooled down. On Tuesday, Chief Minister Nitish Kumar (CM Nitish Kumar) put the game of cabinet expansion in the court of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and said that there is no proposal from the BJP behind this delay. It will be decided after BJP’s proposal. The special thing is that he only took the name of BJP. Whereas, NDA also has Hindustani Awam Morcha (HAM) and Vikasan Insan Party (VIP).
BJP’s proposal not received for cabinet expansion
On Tuesday, Chief Minister Nitish Kumar made a big statement while inspecting the work going on for the expansion of Patna Airport. He said that no BJP proposal has yet been received for cabinet expansion. As soon as the proposal comes, it will be negotiated and decided. He said about the cabinet meeting to be held this evening that a decision will be taken on the work to be done for the next five years.
Now the matter seems to be postponed till the end of Kharmas
Initially, there was a discussion about cabinet expansion that it would be expanded within a day or two after the end of the assembly session. But the matter got postponed. After this, the discussion intensified that the cabinet would be expanded before December 15, but this was also postponed. After the Chief Minister’s statement, it is being decided that the cabinet expansion will take place only after 15th of january. There is no expectation of any proposal from the BJP for the cabinet expansion before January 14 due to being silent.
No deadlock in NDA, a decision will be taken at an appropriate time
In this regard, BJP spokesperson Sanjay Tiger made it clear that there are four constituents of NDA, whose leadership will take a decision by consensus among themselves. Then the final decision will be taken by Chief Minister Nitish Kumar. The head of the government is Nitish Kumar, so he will talk and decide. There is no deadlock in the NDA and the cabinet expansion will be decided at the appropriate time.
There are currently 13 ministers in the Nitish government
Currently, many ministers have three to four departments. After the resignation of Meva Lal Chaudhary, who became Education Minister from JDU quota, his accountability was given to Ashok Chaudhary. There are currently seven ministers with two deputy chief ministers from BJP quota. While there are only four ministers from JDU quota. There is one from ‘Hum’ and one from ‘VIP’.
